  1. High Heat Transfer Efficiency

  The liquid performs spiral flow in the spiral plate heat exchanger, and the centrifugal force generated improves the fluid turbulence level. In addition, the locking columns in the channel also destroy the boundary layer and create vortices. Therefore, seepage can be generated under relatively low flow resistance, generally between Re=1400~1800, and seepage can be generated even when Re=500, depending on the layout and number of locking columns.

  2. Counter-current Flow of Two Liquids and Ultra-low Temperature Heat Transfer

  Two liquids can undergo counter-current heat exchange in a relatively long spiral channel. When the inlet and outlet temperatures of the two fluids are constant, the counter-current logarithmic mean temperature difference will be larger than that of parallel flow, cross flow, or counter-cross flow, so the heat transfer quantity of the utilization coefficient is also very large. On the other hand, if the same heat transfer quantity of the utilization coefficient is required, using counter-current heat transfer can achieve this with a smaller logarithmic mean temperature difference. This is very beneficial for the utilization of low-temperature heat sources.

  3. Not Easy to Fouling

  The liquid in the spiral plate heat exchanger mainly uses a single-pass flow, and the flow rate is higher than that of other types of heat exchangers (generally, 2 meters/second for liquids with low viscosity, and 20 meters/second for gases), so fouling is not easy to occur.

  4. Compact Structure, No Fittings, Simple Manufacturing

  Spiral plate heat exchangers are made of rolled metal plates, so there are no components such as cylinders and casings that do not contribute to heat exchange. Under the same heat transfer area, it is much more compact than tubular heat exchangers, and the heat transfer area per unit area is about 2 to 3 times that of tubular heat exchangers. The amount of machining during manufacturing is reduced, and the cost is low.
