Plate heat exchangerIn addition to repairs in special circumstances, timely maintenance is also required. Plate heat exchangers are easy to maintain and disassemble. Different methods can be used depending on the situation. If the equipment does not leak and the heat transfer system is not reduced, disassembly and repair are not necessary. Just use a closed-loop system to fill the equipment with caustic soda solution for several hours. If this condition is not met, and after disassembly it is found that the fouling is not serious, the plates do not need to be removed; simply rinse with tap water or clean with a soft brush.
Plate heat exchangerThere are many things to note about the cleaning method. Do not use sulfuric acid or water with a high concentration of fluoride to clean stainless steel plates, and do not use ammonium sulfate or hydrochloric acid to clean titanium plates. In-situ cleaning is the preferred method for cleaning plates, especially when the process fluid in the equipment is adhesive. When cleaning the plate heat exchanger, drain the liquid from the inlet and outlet pipes on both sides of the heat exchanger. If it cannot be drained, forcefully flush the process liquid with tap water.
Erode with warm water from both sides of the heat exchanger until the discharged water becomes clear and free of process fluid. Drain the eroded water from the heat exchanger. Connect the in-situ high-pressure cleaning pump. For thorough cleaning, the in-situ cleaning solution must be moved from the bottom to the top of the plates to ensure that all plate surfaces are wetted with the cleaning solution. Use the in-situ cleaning solution to erode at the maximum flow rate, or clean at the maximum flow rate allowed by the diameter of the in-situ cleaning nozzle.
If in-situ cleaning can be carried out according to the scheduled cleaning plan before complete pollution occurs, the cleaning effect will be better. After cleaning with the in-situ cleaning solution, thoroughly rinse with purified water.
