Heat exchangers, also often called heat interchangers, are devices specifically designed to transfer a portion of heat from a hot fluid to a cold fluid. Of course, this concept isn't entirely accurate. There are also air heat exchangers, such as those in air conditioners, which help maintain fresh indoor air. Heat exchangers are widely used in the petroleum, power, food, and chemical industries. Heaters, coolers, evaporators, and reboilers are all types of heat exchangers. Heat exchanger manufacturers indicate that there are many types of heat exchangers, but based on the principle and method of heat exchange between cold and hot fluids, they can be divided into: wall, mixed, and regenerative types. Among these three types of heat exchangers, wall-type heat exchangers are more commonly used. The wall-type does not directly exchange heat.
Working Principle
Heat exchanger manufacturers state that their working principle utilizes the principle of heat conduction to transfer heat from one object to another. However, different heat exchangers have different heat transfer methods, principles, and media. Automatic temperature control energy-saving volumetric heat exchangers make full use of steam energy and are a new type of energy-saving water heater, but the condensate temperature of the energy-saving heat exchanger is around 75 degrees, which can be directly reused in the boiler room. This greatly reduces costs, saving money, reducing cold and hot losses through heat exchange, and using special materials to recover 60% to 75% of the energy during air exchange. Therefore, heat exchanger manufacturers indicate that it has found good application in energy-saving air conditioners that have emerged in recent years.
Product Characteristics
Heat exchanger manufacturers indicate that currently, there are many types of heat exchangers in China. Of course, their common principle is to transfer thermal energy. Here, taking a floating head heat exchanger as an example, let's briefly introduce its advantages: reasonable structural design, the tube bundle in the middle can be extracted independently, facilitating cleaning of the shell and tube, the temperature difference between the media is unlimited, so it can operate under high temperature and high pressure, but there are still requirements, as long as the temperature is less than or equal to 450 degrees, and the pressure is less than or equal to 6.4 MPa. It can also be used in places with serious scaling and where pipes are easily corroded. Similarly, it also has disadvantages: complex structure, large consumption of metal materials, 20% higher cost than ordinary heat exchangers, and small floating heads are prone to internal leakage;
Main Applications
Heat exchangers have many uses and are commonly used equipment in numerous industrial sectors such as chemical, petroleum, power, and food processing, playing a vital role in production. Heat exchange is typically accomplished using a solid wall or heat transfer surface to separate fluids of different temperatures, or by allowing two fluids to directly contact each other within the device for heat exchange. Heat exchanger manufacturers indicate that plate heat exchangers currently have the highest heat transfer efficiency among various types of heat exchangers. They occupy small spaces, are easy to install and disassemble, and are widely used in heating, hot water bathing, air conditioning, hydraulic oil cooling, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, food processing, and other fields.
