Fully automatic water softener

Details

Product Introduction

Fully Automatic Water Softener

The fully automatic water softener is a multi-port valve control system, using internationally advanced high-strength glass resin tanks. According to the preset program, the multi-port valve automatically completes the opening and closing of each valve, thereby realizing various processes such as operation, backwashing, regeneration, and forward washing.

Working Principle

Fully Automatic Water Softener

The hardness of water is mainly composed of cations: calcium (Ca2+), magnesium (Mg2+) ions. When hard water passes through the resin layer of the exchanger, the calcium and magnesium ions in the water are adsorbed by the resin, and sodium ions are released at the same time. In this way, the water flowing out of the exchanger is softened water with hardness ions removed. When the resin adsorbs calcium and magnesium ions to a certain saturation degree, the hardness of the effluent increases. At this time, the water softener will automatically regenerate the failed resin according to the preset program, using a high-concentration sodium chloride solution (brine) to pass through the resin, so that the failed resin is restored to sodium-type resin.

Construction and Installation Points for Fully Automatic Water Softeners

Fully Automatic Water Softener

1. Pipes should be installed with supporting structures to prevent the control valve from being stressed.

2. When the inlet pipe of the water softener is connected to the domestic water pipe, a backflow preventer should be installed on the inlet pipe.

3. If the inlet water pressure is lower than 0.15MPa, pressurization measures should be adopted.

4. The length of the drain pipe should be less than 6m; no valves should be installed on the pipe; the outlet should not be higher than the valve body, the terminal should be open, to avoid siphoning.

5. Except for water softeners using hydraulically driven multi-port valves, a 220V power supply is required on site.

6. Iodized salt should not be used; calcium-added salt should be used as a regenerant.
