Function and Use

Strainer

The function of a strainer is to remove and filter impurities and dirt from pipelines, maintaining clean water quality within the system, reducing resistance, protecting equipment, and preventing pipe blockage.

Equipment Structure and Working Principle

Strainer

Strainers are available in three forms: horizontal straight-through strainers, horizontal angled strainers, and vertical straight-through strainers. This strainer is characterized by a filter screen made of specialized steel plate or stainless steel plate punched mesh, which is an improvement over the galvanized wire mesh specified in the original standard drawing. This results in greater strength and longer lifespan. In the strainer, the water flows from the inlet into the cylinder body, and the water filtered through the filter screen flows out from the outlet, while the dirt settles at the bottom of the strainer and is discharged through the drain.
